Dying to Live

I’m dying to go to the concert next week- would you go with me?  I’m dying to try windsurfing … do you think you could help me? I’m dying to live alone, but have never done it before - do you really think I could?

Our language betrays the wisdom of the ages, for if we know anything at all, it is that we die to live. We die so many little deaths, before we draw our last breath. “The favorite mug smashed on the stone floor, the lost book, the job gone, the face now seen only in that unrealistic photo - all these are part of dying to live,” writes Reverend Carl Scovel.

I hope you’ll join me as we launch our theme for October - death. How are the many small deaths you’ve experienced, helping you live more fully today?  And how are those many small deaths helping you prepare for your own death?  It won’t kill us to talk about it!

See you Sunday!
With love beyond belief, Barbara
