Ways to Give
Share The Plate
Every month, we select a local non-profit to share our offering plate with 50/50. Giving is announced each month in our newsletter and in our program.
Annual Pledge
Members and Friends make annual pledges to support our Fellowship. If you would like to contribute to your pledge, you can give here. To see what you've contributed so far, you can log into Breeze to review that information under "giving". You can set up a monthly or annual contribution here.
You can contribute directly in Breeze or Paypal.
Other options include mailing a check to:
Mid-Columbia Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
PO Box 521, Hood River, OR 97031
Memo: Pledge Year (ex: 2026-2027)
General Donation
This is for general donations, separate from your pledge. They can be recurring or one-time and you can specify if your donation is for a special aspect of the Fellowship that you'd like to support. Simply add the note in the bottom.
Qualified General Distribution (QCD)
A QCD is ideal if you are over 70 ½ years of age, have an IRA, are in a higher tax bracket, and currently pay tax on your distributions. This helps reduce your AGI.
Call your brokerage and say “I want to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution”.
Fill out the form with the following information:
Recipient: Mid-Columbia Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Address: PO Box 521, Hood River, OR 97031
EIN: 9 0 - 0 7 7 0 1 3 7
Ensure the check will go directly to our P.O. Box. If not, you can bring in the check and add it to the Sunday Service Offering Basket.
For direct deposit information, contact our bookkeeper (email).
During tax season, you’ll receive a 1099-R. On your tax return, report the full distribution and mark the taxable amount as $0 (or reduced), label it QCD.
Additional Giving to Consider:
Charitable Bequest
This is a legacy consideration. Upon your death, a charitable bequest can ease estate or capital gains taxes for your loved ones. It can be added to your will or a revocable trust. Ask your attorney for more information.
You can also name the Fellowship as the beneficiary of your 401K or IRA through your brokerage to prevent a tax burden for loved ones.
We also want you to know: this is a community that grows with you. We hope your giving is the beginning of a long and deepening relationship with our community — and that you always feel free to reach out, get involved, and make this place even more your own.
