Forgiveness in the Time of Intolerance

  • Rockford Grange 4262 Barrett Drive Hood River, Oregon, 97031 United States (map)

Speaker: Reverend Connie Yost
Celebrant: Dan Ball

What does it mean to forgive in these times when acts of cruelty towards immigrants, people of color, poor people and others are being perpetuated at the highest levels of our government? Is forgiveness possible, or even advisable? We’ll explore forgiveness from the point of view of those who are harmed and how we can collectively begin a healing transformation.

Bio: The Rev. Connie Yost is President of Farm Worker Ministry Northwest and serves on the Board of National Farm Worker Ministry which educates and mobilizes people of conscience to stand with farm workers and immigrants at their request. She is also the founder of Friends Stay Warm which provides cash assistance for utilities, rent and food for immigrant families. She is thankful that Mid-Columbia UU Fellowship has been FSW’s fiscal sponsor for many years.
